Nonviolent protests in common spaces are fine. Leave them alone. The point is to show solidarity for a message. Disruptive civil disobedience protests (e.g., breaking into and occupying buildings) are also fine insofar as their point is to lead to arrest. Arrest them. Simple.

So your theory is that criminal defense lawyers lobbied successfully for there to be more criminal law enforcement, so they'd have jobs, rather than say... responding to an uptick of enforcement by becoming criminal defense lawyers?
@ASFleischman Weird, the numbers got a lot higher when lawyers got more involved. It's an extractive industry, and lawyers (like PD, Corrections, etc) have a pecuniary interest in that industry.

@WimminsRea @lucasdrayton I know ADHD can present in a myriad of different ways but after I got diagnosed at 29 and started taking medication I felt capable of starting and finishing tasks and taking care of my house/self and with that I experience less anxiety and irritability.

@WimminsRea @lucasdrayton For me, I've always struggled with starting and/or finishing tasks, especially chores, personal care, and "boring" tasks. I also have more stress/anxiety because the baseline things that need to be done aren't getting done. I'm more irritable because of that stress too.
@WimminsRea @lucasdrayton I find it hard to stick to any structure or schedule and good habits are basically non-existent. I also have difficulty responding to emails/texts and general communication.

My friend. Actually helping people feels really good. Sometimes, the arguments you make to judges improve the law. Sometimes, legislators pay attention and try to make things better. Firefighters aren't complicit with arson.
@ASFleischman It's pretty rich that a lawyer whose work is complicit with the human rights disaster that is the criminal legal system would make such an argument.
