The XC X-factor An XC team will never be great unless it has that one kid that elevates the whole program by being uncompromising. The all-in, "no matter what, I'm going to be good & damn it, we're going to be good" kid changes the whole face of the program.

@jmarpdx You're comparing his stride to that of sprinters... Yared was in 331 shape the year he ran a solo 334 at the ACCs. This is only a slight improvement from that.
@jmarpdx Have you considered that Yared is a generational talent that is now surrounded with other world class athletes and training at altitude? He qualified for the Olympics while training in South Bend of all places
