One manager: “We get online applications but nobody ever stops by” My son has two interviews over the next few days!

I’m seeing a lot of college grads that never had a job before graduating having a hard time with “career” jobs. They don’t like their boss, have trouble working with others, see conflict as inherently “toxic” (reality: it’s not), and just no real work ethic all around. My company just won’t hire new college grads because of it.

My 16YO is applying for jobs right now. His sister (my daughter) got a job at 16 too - and is still working part time while in college. It’s weird how many parents DON’T want their kid to have a job while in high school or college. Maybe 70-80% of the parents say sports, dance, hobbies, etc. are more important. Apparently I’m in the minority “pro job” now…?

Was having a good day, then @Fidelity ruined it because their website and customer (no) service are terrible. Repeated errors and “sorry we don’t know what happened.” How in the world can I trust them? Second year of issues with them. They keep getting worse! Does anybody have a good alternative? I need to get away from them.

Our old daddy-daughter tradition of having a shamrock shake on St Patrick’s Day. Sadly, 5 @McDonalds around us had broken machines - we had to make a trek to find a McDonalds with a working machine! 🤯
