Every drill had a loser running suicides. Coach having a bad day? More suicides. Skip development was near impossible due

We’d change how we’d perform in order to not lose a drill rather than take risks or explore new movement solutions to try and win.
We’d purposefully be given unrealistic times for runs just to make sure we’d run again..
@ram_strength1@thereallsu777 To add to this, if showing them the data is screwing things up for them. Then don’t show them the data, but keep it for yourself as a coach to guide future program decisions and progressions. Then go back to verbal cues to drive intent
@ram_strength1@thereallsu777 I think this is because they don’t understand the “why” for using the VBT. Do they know the goal is to move the weight faster than last week?
I’d also ask - why are the kids slapping more weight on anyways? Are you not prescribing loads and guiding their progressions?
@MonteSparkman@CoachNoon45 The same goes with submax work, deep tier plyos, max velocity sprints, etc. they have their time and place to be used..just like full rom and partial rom squats
@MonteSparkman@CoachNoon45 The best coaches in the world use full ROM and partial ROM. It just depends on where the athlete is in development and where they are in their season or off-season. Full ROM has very clear benefits for tissue resiliency and injury prevention (when done with proper form)…
