Wild part is this is all public record and already in court: Lilly tried to get the FDA to reclassify retatrutide as a biologic in 2023. FDA said no. Lilly sued in Sept 2024. In Sept 2025, a federal judge ruled FDA acted unlawfully and vacated the decision. FDA has to redo it. If they reclassify it: biologics can't be compounded. Only Lilly can sell it. Patents extend by a decade plus. Same week FDA opens up peptide compounding, Lilly is in court trying to lock GLP-1s out of it. Watch what happens on remand.

@hubermanlab A 2020 NHANES study (1,400 men) found that doubling exposure to DEHP, a phthalate hidden in fragrance, was linked to roughly 8% lower testosterone. Fragrance is one of the main ways people get exposed daily. Search: NHANES phthalates testosterone if you want the paper.

Bottom line: biggest peptide regulatory story since the 2023 ban. A favorable PCAC vote in July would reopen a market that clinics, compounders, and consumers have been routing around for over two years.

FDA is moving to roll back its 2023 peptide ban. On April 15, the agency announced its Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee will meet July 23-24 to review 6 peptides for return to legal 503A compounding. A second meeting before February 2027 will cover 6 more. 12 peptides in total. Thread:
