We need to remember that no one's exercising out of PEM. And when it comes to driving toward all the good things exercise promotes, PEM is a stop sign. Forcing PEM doesn't turn out well. PEM leads. Function follows. Exercise is a luxury item in an energy-impoverished disease.

Please note: Apart from #MECFS and #LongCOVID, Post-exertional malaise can be found in cancer-related fatigue, gulf war illness syndrome, Post-treatment Lyme disease syndrome and possibly other syndromes. We need to further investigate this key symptom and common mechanisms.
