Perhaps he found the systemic injustice and consequences of casualised labour too uncomfortable to sit with? Who knows? At least you can dismiss that consuming terror as pathologically irrational. As long as your patient is an unreliable witness, then all will be well
I happened upon this letter from 10+ yrs ago. I'd never seen it before but now I could combust with anger. This is complete fabrication. I told him the threat of homlessness was real and urgent. Working v.short contracts as a project co-ordinator made it all but inevitable.

@scousepie I think it was about 40 for ADHD alone and found to be bidirectional, but 70 for all ND is very plausible.
I didn't realise until today that over 40% of people with ADHD have some kind of issue with addiction, particularly with nicotine, cannabis, and cocaine. I can well imagine someone self-medicating with stimulants, but cannabis is totally the other end of the spectrum, isn't it?
@scousepie Yep, I expected cocaine to be in there, but I also expected alcohol to be in the top three just because it's so widely used and accessible
Bed collapsed at 4am. This is not an unusual occurrence. In a couple of weeks, I can start actively seeking a second job. Hopefully, it won't be too long before I can purchase a bed frame that isn't propped up on piles of books.

Any recommendations for tried-and-tested books or other resources on managing ADHD? Medication has made a huge difference, but I'd like to work on myself some more now that I know what I'm dealing with.
@IamCarrieagain I actually knew this. Or, rather, knew it was a possibility and looked it up. I get the same unreality and delusional beliefs on APs.
I can't take drowsy antihistamines because they send me very insane (jerking, hallucinations, derealisation). The only other drug I've known to do it is mirtazapine. Discovered via an insta reel that a starting dose of mirtazapine acts as an antihistamine. Mystery solved.
