Functional householders of Twitter, do you throw clothes, linens (sheets, towels, etc) and housekeeping things (mopheads, kitchen towels) in the washing machine together, or do you have some sort of adult human protocols for each? #badulting
FOLLOW UP QUESTION: Where do you STORE household linens (eg kitchen towels)?
@orbyn I judge it on relative dirtiness. Mop heads usually go separately, kitchen towels usually end up with bathroom towels so they’re washed hot.
@orbyn I've never washed a mop head?! 🤯 tea towels and cleaning cloths go in with everything we else.
@orbyn Kitchen towels I have and will put in a wash just not anything swanky Mop heads get hand washed in baths Everything else together .. even old whites and old coloured which don’t run
@orbyn I tend to put linens and clothes together, but towels, kitchen towels and mop heads together because they all want to be washed without fabric softener
@orbyn Kitchen towels live in the cupboard under the sink
@orbyn Everything together in a state of chaos and I’ve been known to buy new stuff to avoid doing washing and/or because I forgot (again). Not sure I am the functional adult household you were hoping to reach…
@orbyn Clothes at 40 (colours, darks, whites separate), towels, teatowels (mainly for hands), dish clothes (for wiping not very dirty kitchen table and kitchen work tops) separate at 60 (together if no full loads of towels/bedding) and dirtier things like mop heads separate at 60
