Any person—let alone a police officer—hurt is one too many. Which is why I’ve long been arguing we have to follow facts. Not fear. We have barely ever tried anything different. And when we have: Data has shown immense success & powerfully forces have fought to kill change.
It’s incredible to me how people can point to the 21 prior arrests of the person alleged to have killed NYPD officer Jonathan Diller & not see that as a stunning indictment of our current system’s inability to deter or prevent crime/violence. Much the opposite.
Florida just got a lot more expensive for the GOP.
