We should retire calling yourself "leading" in adtech press releases. The job is to show the customer how you can help, not just tell them, "We're the best." If you told someone at a party, "We are the leading DSP," they'd look at you funny. It's no better in releases.

Media & ad tech experts - looking to crowd source some wisdom. Are ad impressions served on open web via Amazon DSP considered to be part of Amazon's retail media network (RMN)? Or do you consider ads purchased via Amazon DSP on 3rd party site & apps to NOT be RMN?
If you see ads for Tide Pods, Dove soap, or Kleenex on made for advertising publishers, and those ads take you to product pages on Amazon, Walmart, or Instacart - who is setting up those ads? Is it the brands/agencies, or the retail media networks?

Interesting to observe Tech Crunch's website showing a Global Privacy Control (GPC) consent modal when visiting their site website from California. I wonder how many other major publishers have similar practices? I have not observed similar modals on WSJ, NYTimes, or WaPO.

Looks like a (muted) YouTube TrueView in-stream skippable ad for a small business is being served here - it is hidden by 2 separate pop-up modals (1 consent & 1 subscriber modal). Would advertisers consider this to be a valid in-stream skippable ad placement for TrueView ?

The job is to show the customer how you can help, not just tell them, "We're the best." If you told someone at a party, "We are the leading DSP," they'd look at you funny. It's no better in releases.

@ANderagakura @braedon @mikefeeley @dmarti Yes, TTD campaigns allow any buyer to block any seller. Whether that seller is an SSP, a reseller, a sales house or a publisher. It’s in the UI and in our campaign API.

@kfranasz @vinny_rinaldi3 @douglauretano View-through conversions are the ultimate vanity metric. Many don’t even make the distinction or are aware of the difference between them and click conversions. View-through conversions don’t even require someone to have viewed the ad!
@douglauretano Yup! Cookie bombing 101 just spread the wealth of impressions, sometimes multiple on same user session (right @kfranasz) and you’ll get 14-day view through attribution windows galore! Pretty easy to attribute a sale 10x over on the same single purchase with that methodology.
