Let’s be clear. I’m not saying that if antivirals worked, Long Covid would be cured by now. I’m saying if antivirals worked, ME would be cured by now. And if we knew that they worked for ME, we would’ve figured out how to use them for Long Covid. ☺️

Sorting out garage, a buzzing creature flew straight at my face in cramped conditions. My innate childhood fear of buzzing creatures kicked in and I swatted at the thing. So basically, I just hit myself quite hard right in the face 🤦

Another horrendous case. Is it me, or do the majority of these types of cases feature young women? Have there been any men detained? Obviously ME is more prevalent in women which will influence numbers, but just curious if this type of relentless medical ignorance has a theme?

There must be some awesome private neuro Physios hanging out somewhere in Scotland? That's two people in the last 6 months driving 4.5 hrs to see me because I seem to be the closest physio they've found willing and able to assess rate neuro disorders.

Lol if he made a pass his workout immediately got switched to my insane Tabata training protocol for my MMA clients. Took 3 times. 5 # heavy jumprope lol
@karenphysiocouk This has made me giggle. Pilates is BRUTAL. Mind you, I’m hypermobile so keeping my hips steady (in particular) feels like warfare. Currently waiting for my class to start!

@sunsopeningband @karenphysiocouk I used to teach Pilates and worked with a pro rugby team (their coach knew what was up). They always came in disrespectful and so session 1 was ALWAYS on the Wunda Chair. Most couldn’t make it down the stairs unassisted at the end of an hour. Session 2 was always more respectful.
@karenphysiocouk My first job out of PT school was at a clinic with a Pilates studio. I’ve never been so sore in my life as after even a mat session, and I was a two-sport intercollegiate athlete. Nothing relaxing about it. 😅
I used to and I was good at it till I got sick about a decade ago , recently a physiotherapist suggested I do it again properly and after a ‘gentle’ session I was in bed for a week
Just seen some sporty types chatting about how pilates is super easy and a nice way to relax. I'm pretty sure they've never done pilates 🤔

Oh hey physios providing Long COVID rehab programs…pacing helps a tiny bit (if you are privileged enough to be able to), but it ain’t gonna make people be able to do your exercise based rehab program in the name of returning to work…

If *many different pathogens* and also *no pathogen at all* can result in a clinical presentation of symptoms and signs, why would we place such a high value on the understanding why persistence of *one specific pathogen* to unlock all understanding of the clinical presentation?
