This is important. I loved Baby Reindeer as an important story that needs to be heard, but I would be wary to draw any principles out of it. A lot of vengeful violent ex-boyfriends, for example. And female stalkers can also be as dangerous, mental illness or not.

Suffering people often need others to have faith and hope for them. Admonitions to hope or trust only often result in despair; if the sufferers were able, they would do so. It is often helpful to say, “I know you struggle to hope right now. I will hope for you.”
@Tanya_Marlow Well said. I support adults with learning disabilities and lots would love to have a little job but there is no support for them to be able to have a job. Expensives claimed by greedy MP's or dodgy buisness dealings with relatives needs to be cracked down on!

But right now I feel that UCCFs refusal to apologise directly and properly to individuals who have been hurt is what is affecting their work. It is not the responsibility of the abused to keep quiet, but the responsibility of UCCF to own up.

It isn't. It's about doing His work His way. That is what glorifies God most & I'm not sure @UCCF gets that.

In the last 6 yrs or so I think my wife & I have had direct personal contact with upwards of 200 survivors of about 25 Conevo scandals (of course some overlap). That's why 'systemic' is right
