On refusing to take any COVID-19 precautions with schools: Very few kids get hit by lightning every year. But most people would consider an adult irresponsible (possibly criminally negligent) if they let a child run around in thunderstorm storm holding a metal rod. 🤷🏽‍♂️

#MCAS means when I made a family favorite for my post op sister-in-law today, I couldn’t even taste test it while cooking. Some days, it’s the little loses associated with chronic illness that sting the most.

What’s it like living with chronic illness? Well, most healthy folks probably don’t wake up and start researching why they stopped breathing a few times last week. I imagine that healthy folks might just read the news over a cup of coffee before going to work. #NEISVoid

Learning to read people & quickly assess situations. I try to immediately figure out who the doctor needs me to be and that’s who I become to get my healthcare needs met. It’s a shit reality, but I’ll do whatever it takes to at least not get worse.
