@broadwaybabyto @SlaySaguaro I am sick of being sick and sick of that reflex response to sickness. What else can they do? That response is all they know and when it "comes from their heart" we know it's comes from their fear. Fear of not being able to stop the suffering.

If you’re struggling tonight, know you’re not alone. If you’ve had a setback, it’s not your fault. If someone has let you down, you didn’t do anything wrong. Chronic illness is a 24/7 job. It’s not for the faint at heart. Give yourself grace. You deserve it.

Non disabled people can’t understand the unrelenting monotony of chronic illness. The soul crushing defeat that comes from knowing you won’t feel “better” the next day. The exhaustion that comes from fighting an oppressive system of ableism for the smallest amount of dignity
