It's not "the wrong therapist". It's not my "attitude" or "willingness". It just doesn't work for me personally, and that's fine. Just like how a certain medication might transform the life of one person, but be ineffective for another.
@neuro_lou I feel like I'm making an excuse when I tell people I'm autistic. I'm not trying to use it as a way to get something, just letting people know I might act odd in line of their expectations of me.

Being disabled doesn’t absolve you from being ableist. In fact, some of the worst ableism I’ve faced has been from disabled people.
Something that gives me a lot of anxiety as an Autistic person is how fragile my circumstances feel. I’m acutely aware that one awkward social situation, misunderstanding, period of burnout, meltdown, processing delay, innocent error or misjudgement could cost me so much.
