I just wanted to send this farewell message to all Manchester United supporters. I would like to express my unwavering gratitude and appreciation for the love from the last 12 years. We’ve achieved a lot since my dear Sir Alex Ferguson brought me to this club. I took incredible pride everytime I pulled on this shirt, to lead the team, to represent this institution, the biggest club in the world was an honour only bestows upon a few lucky footballers. It’s been an unforgettable and successful period since I came here. I didn’t think from leaving Madrid as a young boy we would achieve what we did together. Now, it’s the right time to undertake a new challenge, to push myself again in new surroundings. Manchester will always be in my heart, Manchester has shaped me and will never leave me. We’ve seen it all. 🤘🏼❤️

AUTISM LONG THREAD, RETWEET TO CREATE AWARENESS Autism mostly referred to as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as the condition varies widely in its severity and symptoms, is a complex neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction, performance of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and behavior. NB: Autism is not a mental illness as many people have labeled but a neurodevelopment condition. CAUSES There is no exact known cause of Autism but a variety of factors are associated with it; 1. Genetics. 2. Differences in Brain development. 3. Brain Neurotransmitters differences. 4. Environmental factors such as exposure to certain toxins and chemicals. EARLY SIGNS OF AUTISM IN YOUNG KIDS Autism signs can start to show up as early as 6 to 18 months of age, in most cases they start to show up at age 2 to 3 years. Here are some of the early signs. 1. Lack of eye 👁️ contact/avoiding eye 👁️ contact during social interaction. 2. Repetitive behaviors: Children with autism may engage in repetitive behaviors, such as flapping their hands or spinning in circles. 3. Difficulty with social interactions: Children with autism may have difficulty with social interactions, such as playing with others or taking turns. Most of them will tend to isolate themselves from other kids. 4. Delayed speech or language skills: Children with autism may have delayed speech development or may not speak at all. 5. Sensory sensitivities: Autistic kids may be overly sensitive to sensory input, such as light, different textures or sound, or may seek out sensory stimulation. Its why some have difficulties putting on some type of clothes or having a shave 🪒 at the barber. 6. Impaired ADLs in older kids: most affected ADLs include taking a shower, getting dressed, brushing their teeth due to sensory issues and packing their school bag, or daily chores like making their bed, or setting the table. HOW DO AUTISTIC PEOPLE COMMUNICATE? Autistic people can communicate in a variety of ways, although they may face challenges with traditional forms of communication, such as verbal language or social cues. Here are some forms of communication by autistic people. 1. Nonverbal communication: Autistic people may use nonverbal communication, such as facial expressions, gestures, or body language, to communicate their emotions or needs. These will include tantrums, meltdowns or walking away from what they don’t like 👍🏿 et al. 2. Verbal language: Some autistic people are able to communicate verbally and may use speech to express their thoughts and feelings. Speech might not be well developed in them, as a caregiver you need to give them more time to understand them or respond clearly for them to understand you. 3. Visual supports: Many autistic individuals benefit from visual supports, such as pictures or written words, to help them understand and communicate. This comes in handy when working with them to achieve their ADLs such as toileting and dressing. 4. Social stories: Social stories are short narratives that help autistic individuals understand social situations and expected behaviors. MX OF AUTISM One thing we should understand is that there is no CURE for autism. We have had episodes where parents have been duped that their is a known CURE for Autism in India 🇮🇳 called STEM CELL THERAPY.
