@ibdgirl76 all the opioid risk tools are invalidated plus it looks like opioid addiction is genetic so 99.5% do not have the propensity to addict to opiates even Heroin so why the drug wars, why is your doctor in prison, why 7 million forced off their pain meds if none will addict?
So when you won’t do imaging on a patient who has low back pain because you say that causes them to focus too much on their pain and then you diagnose them with a centralized pain disorder, when you find out it was cancer what do you do - say oops I’m sorry?
@ThomasKlineMD It is impossible to separate in the body what pain is coming from exactly what dx when there are 10+ dx’s that are likely (or guaranteed in the case of one like Adhesive Arachnoiditis) to generate pain. Opiates absolutely necessary to not just eject from embodiment with that

Will think on approaches. We were effective with ACT-UP in the 1990’s, but that was because Fauci was able to become receptive. Don’t know the current personalities very well.
To correct the damages and harms done by what PROP created, pushed for, influenced in the US, cannot come soon enough. PROP gave faulty advice (riddled with COI /Bias). Overdoses from ILLICID poisoned drugs have never been at higher levels. People who live with disabling pain
@ThomasKlineMD Problem w/that is the DEA is refusing many independent pharmacies the ability to carry controlled medication. I called EVERY non-chain pharmacy in 50 miles (I live in Oakland CA) & NONE were able to get extended release morphine. Many couldn’t get controlled hormones.

@tessalee2161 Yeah. That is how I felt. How do you even argue with that. I have contacted every pharmacy that said DEA was keeping them from getting controlled meds & told them to contact their senators and white house about this.
@ThomasKlineMD Cymbalta was NIGHTMARE. I came off it by removing 1 more pellet from capsule every 2 days. Took almost 2.5 years. Had massive pain syndrome response any other way tried. Weaned off Dilaudid 3x (after surgeries) w/no problem…(transitioned back to MS-ER for chronic intractable…)
