In June 2020 I spoke to someone who lost their job. COVID was the reason and I messaged them. Oct 2020 unemployed and now struggling mentally. Feb 21 they landed a job and thanked me for keeping in touch. March 23 now a Director they offered me a contract. Lesson?
£40k Contract won by using Chat GPT. I used to struggle with tendering for new business. It took a huge amount of time and effort. With no guarantees. Chat GPT was able to generate a proposal within minutes. Took me a day to edit. Who needs a bid writer?
I was dealing with my biggest sale. At 18 £1k commission on a Range Rover. Buyer said, "What's your best price?" Me: We've views lined up no need to discount. Buyer: I can offer cash. Me: Let me speak to my boss. I lost most of my commission by not standing firm.
I spent over £5k that made me £0.00. Early on in my business, I thought I needed: - Best Equipment - Professional Brochure - A high-converting Website - The most optimised LinkedIn But the real game-changer? A Network who knew me. It's the contacts, not resources.
Walked into a dealership. Sales rep: Can I help you? Me: No I'm just looking Sales rep: Let me know if you need anything How much revenue is lost by not asking the right questions? Is this for you or someone else? Ask the right questions from the start.
Ever feel like you're just being 'sold to'? Was it because of: - Lack of personal connection? - Your responses seem unheard? - The focus is only on closing the sale? People are willing to buy but they seek guidance. Not just a sales pitch.
Each time the market slows down. I had a colleague that told me all the reasons why. He'd say: - Interest rates are high - People are on holiday - It picks up in Q4 Complained about everything. What he needed to do was adapt. Success works with change not excuses.
Signed 4 new clients this week. All of them already knew me. They’d seen my content but: - Never liked - Messaged - Commented Shows that it’s not always about the engagement. Often it’s the people who have noticed and yet to take action who are the most interested.
I chased this lead in August. Sent an email this morning to see how they were getting on. Generated a new client as I followed up. Building relationships takes time and is crucial for any Agency owner. The sale is made on your 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th interaction.
150 messages and 98 responses. For the 52 that haven't responded, I want to know: • Was it my offer? • Was it not to the right person? • Was there any real value for them? Asking the right questions helps you move forward.
Solopreneurs here's what you're not selling: • Your service • Your skills • You What you are selling: • Transformation • More Revenue • Boosting Leads Create offers that talk directly to the result.
Fuel the Bakery not just the Bill. Selling Energy I quickly found a niche in bakeries. I realised it wasn't the Owner I needed to sell to it was the Oven. Changing suppliers would: - Lower prices - More heat for rush hour - Focus on selling more bread Target the need.
