Just look back into history a bit to see evidence of this. Fishermen in tiny boats, people working the land before machines, brick layers... One can argue about the 'it's better now than before', but there's no stopping it. If that was sensible, we'd still sit in a cave with possibly a fire... There's learnings too about the past. Better to focus on how to do it better this time than trying to stop it.

@InterestingSTEM 2% is 2 right handed people. 98 people (and %) would be left handed. So to know how many with 1 right handed person, borh need to be devided by 2. 49 left, 1 right = 98% left To get from 99 to 49, 50 left handed would need to leave the room.
