It’s pretty incredible what the @teslasi team just accomplished with FSD V14 Lite on 7-year-old HW3 hardware: • HW3 has roughly 1/8th the memory bandwidth of HW4 • HW4 is ~3-5x faster overall for FSD workloads • HW4 cameras have much higher resolution than HW3. They pulled some magic here, absolutely amazing.

FSD 14.3.4 just being amazing. Handling all the traffic in San Francisco. Watch until the end. It was amazing just to sit in my seat and witness greatness. FSD continues to impress my family and me. This technology will change the entire world, one person at a time.
Real-world intelligence
This is how good FSD has gotten. And I’ll admit, I was a little nervous when the light turned green because I thought the car was going to try and go for it. But it didn’t. It waited for the officer’s hand signal, then it proceeded. Incredible that a car intuitively knows this!
v14 Lite Release Notes: – Distilled the intelligence from HW4 V14 into HW3. This allows HW3 to directly learn how to handle scenarios using HW4 V14 as a guide. This process unlocks the improvements that have been made to HW4 including Reinforcement Learning (RL) and offline models for HW3. – Improved both proactive and reactive responsiveness across a wide variety of categories including navigation handling, merges and forks, pedestrian interactions, traffic lights, and vehicle cut-in scenarios. – Improved general comfort in nominal scenarios through fewer false slowdowns, smoother steering and more consistent lane centering. – Introduced parking, unparking, and reversing capabilities. – Added Arrival Options for you to select where FSD should park: in a Parking Lot, on the Street, in a Driveway, or at the Curbside. – Speed Profiles are now available at all times, to further customize driving style preference.

Nice work by the @teslasi team! The AI3 computer only has ~15% of the effective memory bandwidth of AI4, so this was a tough challenge.
Drove Tesla FSD v14 Lite for an hour tonight on my M3 HW3 Tesla WAYYY better than v12.6.4. I know smoother is often the word used to describe a great build, but it just it fits for this update, very smooth. Tested HWY, residential, and back roads. All great! The parking
