I vividly remember living through 4/27/11 as a 6-year-old. We had the rollaway TV in the 1st-grade classroom and watched the weather all day. I'll never forget the non-stop sirens and the photos of doors used as stretchers. And I’ll watch this video every year to honor the 252.

@MatthewCappucci @NWSSPC @NWSOmaha Pretty much every major outbreak since 12/10/21 has had the chance to be significantly deadlier than it turned out to be. Maybe the days of horrific tornadoes resulting in horrific death counts are coming to an end

Here's my advanced warning for Minden, Iowa—a town that was devastated by a tornado earlier today. On Ryan's stream I noticed a pattern in the storm structure on radar 9 minutes before the tornado formed and talked about its potential. It hit Minden 11 minutes later, as shown.
