Oh my gosh - Ive been assisting my kids learn online all by myself for 4 mos now. My 9 is taking school mandated standardized testing. I have never been so overwhelmingly anxious in all my life.
I just spent all of lunch shamelessly convincing my kids leftovers taste much better cold. I mean, I do believe this but mostly planning ahead on doing as little work for dinner as possible.

Reason I’m separated #37 - after complaining on tweeter about doing food prep for kids when teaching school at STBX house, we did 4’s bday at my house tonight. As Im cooking, STBX fixed my ice maker. I complain about helping. She just helps cause she wants to. #IDontDeserveLove
Its been a rocky transition from work where I was being pampered all the time and getting a ton of potentially false praise to full time parenting - the exact opposite of that. I love parenting more than anything I’ve ever done - but I could use a couple days of being pampered.
Some advice-at STBX house doing kids school. She on personal calls so i doing kid care for our 4. She mad cause when kids ask for food i ask her to get+it interrupts her. Should i make the snacks-i’m getting xtra kid time? Say she should make them? Passively aggressively seethe?

I'm entirely ok talking abt infidelity recovery n my shit marriage for those yrs. It's not a problem, it's just a this is what it was. I dont get upset abt it. My h is not like this. He shuts down n shame takes over. I wonder if he will ever move past this.
@TDad2020 One way to start is to own the things you did that were not helpful. An example is the one you gave the other day while at her house. Apologize for it, and use it as a springboard into suggesting you both talk about communication and expectations.
