Have always known proactive bookmaking would yield better results. But this is a reactive business owing to the very nature of casinos avoiding variance. When I booked my own money, I knew it was the better way. If I had a guy like Matt, could have raised a bigger bankroll.

Late on this one: RIP comedian Pat Cooper, 93 last year. With Shecky Greene,best customers(read losers)at Rose Bowl Race Book mid 70's.Blackballed on the Strip for hysterical but often mean takes on other celebrities. No handicapping. Bet horse names that were alliterations.

RIP: Shecky Greene, 97. In 1954 he kicked off six decades of Strip headlining. A generate horse player, I wrote his bets at The Rose Bowl Race Book managed by John Bennett in 1976.

The time cost of money has always been important for bookies and bettors. Now, more so. Your future bet expected ROI (unless betting credit) needs to be subtracted from the current risk-free treasury bills/insured CDs. Maybe the bets aren't as lucrative as you think?
