@MavrocksGirl So cool! My wife and will probably give the remake of 'Rockford' a go, but I suspect it's an impossible ask. The original was extremely well written, but your dad was the show.

Suspicions & Superstitions Doism Is Youism The sensation of coming across something you haven't worked on for ages? Had forgotten you wrote? Thought? Felt? Surprise. Pleasant? Often. On account of the content? No. Pride? That, too. Due to the quality? No. Regarding what, then? The effort. Your protesting work ethic? Probably. I made this. Did this. And doing is good. #writer #writingcommmunity #writing #writings #wip #philosophy #booksky #amwriting #writerslife #write #indieauthor #amwriting

Suspicions & Superstitions The Face Is A Place Where Nobody Lives, Nevertheless… A post from a contributor who gives face wins more attention than one without. Not if the subject is politics, surely? Yes. Psychology? Afraid so. Philosophy? Yes! And even if the face is AI-generated. Not on Medium and Substack? Yes. But they’re writers’ forums? Ostensibly, allegedly. Is this because— However much we believe otherwise— Claim otherwise— We’re still in thrall to beauty? Its truth? Perhaps. Or that— Animals— We trust our reading of eyes and mouth above that of words? Or word? It’s probably simpler than that. How so? We like to think we’re seekers of knowledge— Wisdom— Enlightenment— But what we crave above all else— Ultimately— Is friendship. #writer #writingcommmunity #writing #writings #wip #philosophy #booksky #amwriting #writerslife #write #indieauthor #amwriting

@thescrewballgrl @mediahistorydl Thanks for the tip, Olympia. Jon, too. Clara and Anna May and Louise, oh my!

@RicksCafe349343 Sam, I'm glad you're back. (I haven't seen/received your posts for a long while.)

No wonder the Right hates socialism so much. They have fuck all idea what it means. Reminds me of Stephen King's rubric for the monster behind the door: As long as the threat remains unseen, largely unknown, it's as scary as your imagination can make it. These creatures don't want to know what socialism is, in case it isn't as scary as they want it to be. Need it to be. In case they/their supporters discover it isn't monstrous at all. Agree with aspects of it.

Q: “How do you define socialism personally?” Vance: “I think in reality, what it actually means in the American context is that you want to replace American workers with foreign workers, and you want boys to play in girls' sports.”

@sofiedawn55 Thanks, Sophs.

Suspicions & Superstitions The Immigration Problem The West is being overrun by economic migrants. Creatures who infiltrate a village, town or city and poison it. Desecrate its nature. Contaminate its culture. Rob jobs. Who are these invaders? Their name is legion. For, though few, they are many. But you’ve heard of some of them: Musk, Bezos, Zuckerberg... For the sake of the economy— Their economy— They’ll torch all you value. #writer #writingcommmunity #writing #writings #wip #philosophy #booksky #amwriting #writerslife #write #indieauthor #amwriting

One of the worst war crime I have ever witnessed.💔 Israeli drone shoots a young child, then when people come to help, they blow up the group, including the child..🇵🇸

@simon_schama What did Einstein write in praise of Gandhi? Oh, yeah: 'Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this ever in flesh and blood walked upon this earth.' Kinda works in reverse re. Trump.

Braindrops Keep Falling Out Of My Head My writing… Pablum I can't give away. My last hope of acceptance lies in archaeology. Detritus revalued as precious for being antique. Important for having lasted. If this proves true, which characteristic will have counted above every other? Durability. Of sense? Substance. The medium will have become a large. #writer #writingcommmunity #writing #writings #philosophy #booksky #amwriting #writerslife #write #indieauthor #amwriting littleacorns.online substack.com/@alloway
