Vance on tariffs on Canada: "Canada and China have been the two worst countries when it comes to trade policy…Canada is a state — sorry, Freudian slip, that was actually an accident. Canada is a country that has underinvested in its military that quite literally would get invaded by a foreign country were it not for the umbrella of protection provided by the United States…To the Prime Minister of Canada, stop taking advantage of the people of Maine, stop taking advantage of America."

Karl: "Do you still think gas will be below $2 a gallon by the end of the summer?" Gov. Greg Abbott: "If the president maintains the current trajectory that he's on right now, they should be."

Karl: "You said recently that the price of gas in Texas would be below $2 by the end of the summer. Are voters gonna punish you and other Republicans if it's not? Because right now the average is $3.60." Gov. Greg Abbott: "The answer to that's far more complex than just one price point." Karl: "But you said it was gonna be below $2."

Brennan: "Nearly all of Florida is below the 95% immunization rate for herd immunity for measles. So, is your message to Florida parents to get your kids vaccinated?" Byron Donalds: "No. My message is the reason we have seen a measles outbreak is because of rampant illegal immigration."

Welker: "Trump promised he was going to bring prices down on day one. Did he break that promise? Prices have gone up." Tim Scott: "The good news is you don't disagree with the fact that Joe Biden brought 21% extra costs on the American family." Welker: "We're not talking about Joe Biden, though. The Biden administration is over. We're two years into the Trump administration."

Tim Scott: "The original sin of costs in America in the last eight years goes back to Joe Biden." Welker: "President Trump has been in office for two years." Tim Scott: "Let me finish. Let me finish. Let me finish. Let me finish. President Trump has brought inflation down." Welker: "Inflation was at 3% when President Biden left office. It's at 3.4% right now…Gas prices are over $4 a gallon, up over a dollar from a year ago. President Trump's tariffs have cost American households nearly $2,000."
