What's needed? Congress should pass the $60B aid bill for Ukraine immediately. We must lift restrictions on weapons, speed up deliveries, & boost logistical support. As the arsenal of democracy, it’s up to us to equip Ukraine & deter future threats from countries like China.

The US must leader, not merely react to power-hungry autocrats. We need the level of commitment & strategy we saw during the Cold War. Except this time it’s not just remote proxy wars, we're facing a major power challenging NATO. The threat is real & close.

The cost of Russian aggression must be high. There should be asset forfeitures and heavy penalties. This isn't just about Ukraine; it deters other potential aggressors globally. The message? Military might for territorial gain will not be tolerated in the 21st century.

I just finished a call with two senior Department of State officials. The news is bad. There is no plan B to Congress passing Ukraine aid. Failure means many more dead Ukrainians and victory for Putin. State said GOP will have much more blood on their hands if the block aid.
