@capeannsky Yes, sporadic shortages remain a big problem. I haven’t seen much trouble from the injunctive relief portion of the National Opioid Settlement, but many of my patients use a hospital-based pharmacy (which were excluded from that agreement).

Non-opioid pharma voices for the eradication of opioids, is using outdated stats. Also, most are used for pain or MOUD, so the premise that opioid use is “bad” is rank ableism. Statistics that are used to persuade ppl for marketing, can be very unethical in the medical space.
The United States makes up around 4% of the world’s population, but it consumes more than 80% of the world’s opioids. Americans need opioid alternatives.
