If people expect politicians to do it they are living on a different planet. The only way to do it is to starve the medical industrial complex of funds. You can’t complain if you keep sending them your hard earned money. We need a citizens revolt.

Member broke his arm and received medication, x-ray, and splint at the ER. He was also told at the time of service that they don't discount. When he received the ~$9,000 ER bill, he called anyway and was able to secure a > 90% discount bringing the bill total down to $700.
