FYI as someone who has been doing infosec for decades and going to as many confs as I can: Y'all glorify too much the pentesters & red teamers. This isn't to say their work isn't cool, but there are so many blue teamers protecting your day to day reality that go unnoticed.

Unpopular opinion: Shadow IT is a signal that existing solutions don't fit the use case, are too much friction, or not widely enough advertised. They are the symptom, not the disease. Instead of obsessively tracking it, how about performing internal customer interviews instead?
