Not really. The policy decisions during this time have been just plain, wrong. Their understanding of gold, and what it represents was (and still is) wrong. Canada received bad advice and no one in government will even mention it. Instead Canadian govt (and big media) have been captured by weird beliefs.

The Canadian public has been told this agreement exists. But we have not been told what it actually says — because the RCMP has stated it will not release the document without Beijing’s permission. That is not how a democracy operates. Canadians do not need a foreign government’s consent to know what their own police force has agreed to. We call on the Government of Canada to release all details of the RCMP–Ministry of Public Security MOU to Parliament and the Canadian public immediately. This agreement was not signed in a vacuum.
