@ThatRosaryGirl I am very sure you don’t do this. It’s not the relatable anecdote, it’s the whole “I wasn’t even finished explaining!” And the socially appropriate questions aren’t interview questions, just little prompts to make sure the other person is finished explaining.

@ThatRosaryGirl Nothing wrong with the anecdote to relate to their experience — where it bothers me is when the topic is immediately changed from something that just happened to me that I want to talk about and process, to something that happened to the other person years ago.

@marycatherinecr I’m 5’1” and once dated someone who was 6’4” — there’s a natural attraction to what is different. Typically I most admire men who are about 5’7”, similar to me, compact. But I don’t think it’s necessary anything weird to be attracted by opposites.
