I've been living in Claude Code for months, so I went into Cowork half-expecting a watered-down version. It genuinely surprised me.
Some things it just does better: scheduled tasks with zero setup (a Gmail + Slack daily brief that took me an hour to wire up in Code took 10 minutes in Cowork, no repo, no keys), and one-shotting clean docs and dashboards to hand off.
I ran the same 5 tasks through both to map out when to reach for which. Full writeup with the token numbers: mearaalgama.substack.com/p/claude-code-…
Where have you found Cowork actually beats Code?
"Cowork is just Claude Code with a nicer UI."
It's technically true and completely useless.
After a week of running the same 5 tasks through both, here's the answer that actually helps.
The framework I landed on:
→ Reach for Cowork when you need less control, the scope is small, and the connectors already exist.
→ Reach for Claude Code when you'll iterate on it, version it, or run it as a system that should get smarter over time.
A few things that surprised me:
- On a daily brief, Cowork burned only ~20% more tokens than Code. Basically a wash.
- Writing to a Google Sheet, Cowork used 350% more, because with no Sheets API it drives the browser by hand: 160 keystrokes and 5 screenshots to write 10 rows.
I'm not an engineer, and I still built real autonomous systems in Code. The "Code is for developers" line is a myth.

@joinkudos The wildest part is that other companies charge you 60% of whatever you save. We just... don't. Still wrapping my head around why anyone would pay a success fee for this
The thing people don't realize is that utility companies already use AI against you. Automated systems designed to loop you, exhaust you, and keep you paying more. We just leveled the playing field
One click. $840/year saved on an internet bill. No hold music. No talking to anyone. Kudos AI handled the entire negotiation in under 10 minutes.
That's not a pitch. That's what our users are actually experiencing.
AI Bill Negotiation is here. Your bills won't know what hit
Our newly launched @joinkudos AI agent called T-Mobile and cut my bill by $840/year (54%).
It handled the hold music, the bots, and the negotiation.
Companies have call center AI agents. Now consumers have theirs too.
Here’s the clip of the call.
Absolutely delightful episode. Most surprising learnings: why Joe Coulombe sold TJ (income taxed at 73%!?), how TJ/Pronto started as a 7-11 knockoff, and how Joe was responsible for popularizing Napa Valley wines.
Highly recommend listening! @AcquiredFM
"The hardest part about being a male founder is... finding a girlfriend?" Try hiring, fundraising, or building a product people want.
Many women I know *earn more* and *work longer hours* than their partners. Real question: would YOU date someone who works 80-hour weeks and outruns you financially? Because women like that aren't hard to find—but men secure enough to date them apparently are.
@agazdecki This made me chuckle because this mentality is so true. Over the 12 months we've shipped 5 big features hoping that it will the one that tips us over. Ultimately, it was iterating on feature that we shipped 2 years ago that moved our KPIs.
@aryanlabde Real validation we’ve done: walk up to strangers (coffee shops), show the landing page, ask for the explanation in their words and a yes/no on paying $X. Track responses by simple demo fields. Painful, fast, and way more honest than “cool” from friends.
@_mattwelter I felt this way until I attended a psychedelic retreat. It completely reset me in ways I still can't fully describe. The truth is, we all carry deep pain with us no matter how successful we are externally. Addressing this pain allows us to actually enjoy the fruits of our hustle.
@garyvee If you're not happy in the industry you're in, it's never too late to change that. Very often you don't need that additional degree to make that switch. Switched from education to FinTech when I was 30. One of the best decisions of my life.
@rywigs@AcquiredFM@gilbert@djrosent This is brilliant thanks, most of the book they reference end up on my bookshelf. Nice to have them all in one place!
Disagree on the landing page point.
We just launched a cinematic video on X and deliberately didn't include a link. The algorithm tanks your reach the second you try to drive people off-platform.
We optimized purely for views and it was the right call: generated buzz before our funding round (successfully generated interest) and the view spike forced organic brand searches we retargeted across other channels. Actually reduced our CACs this way.
The "precursor traction" you're describing isn't a stepping stone — it IS real traction if you build the right attribution model.
Views → brand searches → cross-channel retargeting beats link clicks for viral content. The algorithm rewards keeping users on platform, and your pixel catches them when they search later anyway.
@DefenderOfBasic Simplicity as an edge: fewer priors → better perception. The novice asks the forbidden question; checklists outrun heroics; steady DCA outlives market “genius.” Maybe intelligence is pruning, not piling on.
@TDataScience@plotlygraphs Good read on multi-page Dash. Mild take: extra pages can be a code smell—many apps work better as one flow with URL params + drilldowns. Keep callbacks small/reusable, add tests early. For quick MVPs Streamlit is faster; move to Dash once the info architecture is stable.
