$VIX might be getting some support from lower Bollinger Band on daily, and note its StochRSI is at a higher low (at least so far). As of yesterday’s close, $CPCE made a plunge low at 0.39, one of the lower levels it generally gets to. Meanwhile I’m just watching if $7741 ends up being meaningful for $SPX, as I’ve described in previous posts.

Bonds $TLT tested almost to its 50-dma, and interestingly to a 38.2% retrace to prior swing high. Now backing off that. While yields $TNX have been stalling at yearly R1 pivot, but showing resilience for the potential to rally again.

Aaaaand $SPX is above $7741, so here’s an intraday look at pivots and Fibonacci levels on a 30-minute chart. Bigger picture I’ll still watch if $7741 retains relevance in the coming days/weeks. If so, fine; if not, then on to other hypotheticals for the bigger picture.

We do live in interesting times. Naturally I’m still keeping an eye on $SPX $7741 - around today’s open SPX challenged it, even up to $7748, but so far still having trouble making the challenge successful. Normally we’d look for a late month trading low yesterday or today (maybe aided by full moon or even eclipse), and then rally up into new month new money. Currently with $SPX testing $7741 area again, I’m just laying low. Needing to see how things play out. High precision technicals today in #ES_F: 7714 broke out and that means charting 101, we just rally. Targets were 7733 (hit), 7745 (hit), 7758 (just hit, and dipped). 7771, then 7797 remain above still. 7734, 7714 (watch traps of both) are supports

When I started at the Chicago Board of Trade in 1975 it was filled with pit brokers of all ages. Lots of the young ones were sons/cousins/friends of the older successful brokers There were guys who fought in WW2 on the beaches of Omaha with scares to show for it. These guys had guts in both WW2 and at the Board The old guys had lots of wise sayings Too bad us young traders had to make all the same mistakes on the way to understanding these sayings There is an incredible amount of wisdom in people who can make it 10, 20 even 30 or more years as self-supporting and wealth-building independent traders The young today are no different. They will learn the most important lessons in painful ways. That is the way of the markets. Happens every generation The amazing thing to me -- a 50-year career, self-funded trader is that each new generation knows more than the generation before them. At least that is the lie we will let them keep believing -- at their expense I hope to have time in this book to unpack many nuggets of the wisdom of experience One lesson that has stayed with me over the decades is that I should never carry a losing trade home with me on Fridays Several obvious reasons One - my experience after 10s of thousands of futures contracts trades is that losers on Friday seldom get much better the following week. This is what I call the "probability" factor behind the saying Two - why would I ever want a losing trade to mess with my head and interfere with a weekend. This is what I call the "pleasure" factor behind the saying I have shared this saying with new traders for many years. Never had someone "no-thank-me" for sharing the concept Try it. I think you'll like it
