Im a solo staker since genesis and an ETH holder for almost 10 years. I also do not support cutting issuance. Solo staking is an important part of the Ethereum network - even just to signify that anyone can be a participant. Lowering issuance pushes solo stakers out and leaves institutional operators who are happy to take any amount of yield that is on offer. Any less yield and I will sadly be winding down my validators and ear-tagging that ETH to sell. ETH that I spent years accumulating in hopes that one day it would give me a passive income which it does for me today. I dont want to purely hope for price gains instead. Less issuance will not mean higher priced ETH. The market is not as simple as that. We've already seen that a 90% reduction hasnt had much of an effect. For the good of the network - protect and continue to incentivise solo stakers. It cant purely be an altruistic activity. New solo stakers will not come for that reason alone.

Update: lots of cap space opened up for ETH. AFAIK these are the best fixed rate yields on ETH in DeFi right now👀 Mainnet best for size to minimize yield drop-off, but very much an "early bird gets the worm" kind of thing Some USDC space opened too, but more of that next week

Fixed rate yield in DeFi have high demand. Especially low-risk fixed yields. Case in point, caps raises from this morning on mainnet USDC and ETH fixed rates have already nearly filled. Luckily a lot more space will be opening up this week. How do I know? Here's the trick...
