Everyone...meet Cat 🐈⬛ She's soft, cuddly & loves showing me her bum hole & I've just found out she's pregnant!! (She's got a wriggly tummy). Thing is, I don't even own a cat! She just likes to wander in, makes herself at home & refuses to leave! It's now a daily thing! #blep
I've been vacant here and I apologise! I wish I'd been more active to support my wonderful phone friends. However, I feel triumph. I faced a possible turn to another major depressive episode but bipolar did not win this time! I made it out the other side after just a small blip!
Living with Bipolar has it's challenges & I'm still learning. I thought I was well practiced in noticing early warning signs. Turns out I'm great at noticing them & less great at accepting them! I'm now in an unusual constant state of 'on the verge of tears'. I don't do tears!
The world has been a little unkind to me recently & have subsequently been feeling a bit low. However, after 8 months of no driving, the DVLA finally issued me back my medical driving licence at 1am on the day I drove hundreds of miles to see my bestie! She really is the best 💗
These tablets each day keep me alive. They also go towards helping me to live my life. It shouldn't matter that these are used to help stabilise my mental illness. If they were for a physical condition, no one would question my choices.
Why does going to the doctor for a physical health problem feel a hundred times more valid than all the times I've needed to go for my mental illness?! I have THE BEST GP and there is no stigma or judgement from her, so why do I feel like I've been such a drain on NHS resources?
Sorry I've been so quiet! I'm stable but worrying that every dip and every change in my habits is a sign I'm entering another episode. Today though my phone gave me good news. I'm 1000 days without opiates! Even now it's not easy but I know I must keep strong! #Addiction
One more step to becoming more transparent, less ashamed and attempting to break the stigma around mental illness. It's time to change my profile picture! No more hiding. Bipolar is just a part of me but I will continue to make noise about it. You're not alone 🌻 #NewProfilePic

I cannot emphasise enough that 'junior doctors' are not unskilled & unknowledgeable students that the name implies. These are doctors with years of training & experience, making life & death decisions every day. They absolutely deserve to be paid properly for that responsibility!
I'm taking a massive leap of faith into 2024! My account has always been anonymous. I wanted to protect myself from any repercussions from speaking up about my journey with mental illness. I was ashamed at times. BUT I am not ashamed any more! This is me and I have bipolar 👋
Tonight I'll be saying goodbye to 2023 politely but gladly. I have mixed emotions about the year just passed. Mental illness dominated, as it has for many years however this year I was properly diagnosed & treated. 2024 is a new chapter & the start of a life I've always wanted.
My life changed at 14. Almost overnight I went from a happy, positive child to a dark, depressed & pessimistic one. It would take mental health services 17yrs to correctly diagnose & treat my bipolar. 17 unpredictable yrs lost to mental illness. Now I can finally begin living.
I'm proud to have had a sober Christmas. No alcohol. No drugs. Just me & a clear head. Sobriety is a choice I make every day & I know my body & brain are healthier for it. Managing my bipolar easier, I'm less likely to trigger an episode & no interference with my meds. Winning!

On the contrary, I believe that you become very strong to have suffered with mental illness yet manage to live life anyway It’s a strength that someone who has never had to learn to cope with depression/anxiety/psychosis etc. would never understand

Must be nice to be able to *not care* about the PM wanting to kill off disabled people. To have the privilege and/or ignorance that you think either it won’t ever affect you, or if it does, you’ve got the financial privilege to ignore it.
Please, if you do anything today, ignore this tweet. Psychiatric drugs exist to help you with your mental illness, just like chemotherapy helps with cancer and immunosuppressives help with Crohn’s disease. Not all drugs help all people but if they help you - great. Take them.
You will not find healing in a psychiatric drug, just as you wouldn’t find healing in a bottle of alcohol or synthetic drugs. They are all the same…industries conspiring to keep you from evolving and reaching your full potential as a human being. Growth requires pain, and we…
If your prescribed medication helps you, and - for you - the benefits outweigh any side-effects… Take them, don’t listen to anyone trying to shame you or say you should stop. And if you want to change/try something different, discuss with your Dr, not with some random grifter.

@Auras_Journey By trapping, neutering and vaccinating her, Cats Protection can either return her to your area and make sure the community feeders look out for her, or find a foster until she’s had her babies, and then find them all loving homes once’s all neutered. She knows you are friendly 🥰
@Auras_Journey They will have volunteers who can come and scan for microchips and let you know if they’re registered. Also share on local Facebook notice boards. She looks so young to be pregnant 😔. She may not have a family and be a friendly street cat in need of TNVR so she stays well…/2
