I have a pitch for a new @amazon Prime feature: the ability to turn off the stupid Alexa sidebar on the browser site. Good lord it's bad. I would pay extra to disable it. I have rarely encountered a negative performance impact from a new feature on a major site like this

although I am extremely concerned about existential risk from AI, I do not like anti-AI culture there is something dumb happening here AI is so so useful for being better at ... almost everything you are leaving a lot on the table if you aren't using AI well. you are solving your health problems more slowly. you are learning less effectively. you are stuck on emotional problems for longer

@sergeantsup I also think a big reason he spoke up about it so much is that he's pandering to the very vocal anti-AI portion of his fanbase. I think if he had a different fanbase he could have carried on using it just fine without issue.

I think phone carriers should be fined like $100 per spam/marketing call. It would stop the problem really fast. I've gotten I think 4 or 5 already just today...it's out of control
