@ZacharyforWard5 Part of Mid/City's TIF community benefits agreement, Brookland Manor Apartments senior residents transportation to local retail. After discussing this issue last October, and we agreed to move forward. As of this date Mid/City fail to honor that agreement we discussed.

@ZacharyforWard5 I'm the chairperson of the residents committee and my team have monthly meetings with Mid/City's director of community engagement. Brookland Manor residents association refused to attend these meetings to address community concerns with Mid/City and community representative.

@ZacharyforWard5 @BManorCoalition Councilman Parker you are being mislead by the Tenant Association. The redevelopment of Brookland Manor is a build in place project. There was never any displacement of low-income residents.

@BManorCoalition A Brookland Manor low income tenant has leased a two bedroom affordable unit in that building. You housing advocates with your Willie Lynch tactics, are trying to keep people of color isolated, segregated, in concentrated poverty.

@JCMSpeaks I agree, and they are too disconnected with the low income communities. Also these self centered, candidate have no anti gentrification plan for Ward-5.

@JCMSpeaks There is a scientific explanation for the way that sound was traveling to distance neighborhoods. Yesterday there was a low and high atmosphere pressure to cause that sound to travel a great distance.

@BManorCoalition DC housing authority Black officials has failed to proactively integrate public housing and failed it's obligations to comply with Civil Rights laws. They chose to place Black people in public housing in ways that reinforce Jim Crows policies of the 1950's

@BManorCoalition Mid/City failed to honor it's TIF commitments to workforce development, equity and accountability, and failed to focus on living wage jobs and up skills training to close the wealth gap that disproportionately affect Brookland Manor Black residents.

@ZacharyforWard5 It seems hypocritical that Ward-5 City Counsel candidates advocating for diversity equity and inclusion and on the other hand demanding more Jim Crow public housing, to keep people of color isolated in poverty and in racially segregated residential communities.

@ZacharyforWard5 Willie Lynch method still exist today and can be found permeating in the Brookland Manor community. Blacks in this community are paralyzed and coping to find unity and solidarity, only to be undermined by Black people who were place in leadership positions.

@BManorCoalition Ward-5 City Council Candidates, need to investigate these residential developer to make sure they are accountable to their PUD and TIF community benefits agreement. That Ward-5 low income residents have the first affordable housing, workforce and minority business opportunities

@BManorCoalition Mid Slick City, has thrown Brookland Manor tenant supporters under the bus again, without any supporters input. To avoid new tenants having any TOPA rights, Mid/City is selling the 1400 Montana Ave, new residential development project before they lease any new units.
