I think people are sleeping a bit on how much Ruby on Rails + Claude Code is a *crazy unlock* - I mean Rails was designed for people who love syntactic sugar, and LLMs are sugar fiends.

Tech just said “no” to woke culture. The cancel crowd has lost its hold in tech and look really stupid now. They tried to cancel the creator of Ruby on Rails and take away his project. Instead hundreds of programmers and tech CEOs finally found their voice and said “enough!” This is a great day. Too long the crazy cancel crowd terrorized the industry, but no more. The spell is broken.
Maybe somebody should explain the fork button to them? And also, who cares? And also, does this mean I need to use rails even harder because I agree with most of @dhh views and really like his energy and spirit? Do I really need to run rails on my printer now?

I can fully agree to you. From my perspective of a father of three and provider, living in Berlin I can tell you that: you cannot hear the many conservative people because they have meaningful things to do. Generating the income (where the state takes a big amount from) and spending as much time as possible with your kids and family simply consumes all of your time. You do not have time for that BS. Most of the people you hear are mainly taking from society and barely contributing.

This is the Linux neckberd stereotype illustrated to a T. Instead of embracing the new attention and affection, it does its best to alienate it. Because not knowing that small-file access is 3-8x faster on Linux than Mac is "weird". But new blood will dilute this sad insularity.

@icanvardar Once you start working as much as possible with the keyboard (e.g. with Hyprland) and home-row mod configs, you realize you hardly need the cursor. But every time you do, it’s annoying to move your hands away from the keyboard. For that, this is simply the perfect solution.
