What’s the best sentence or paragraph you’ve ever come across?
A major white pill for career-driven people is that the world’s a mess and most things aren’t actually done very well so if you look into just about anything deeply enough, you’ll find ways to make it better.
I’ve met all kinds of great leaders. Loud and quiet, young and old, thinkers and doers, builders and visionaries. But the one thing that stands out among the best ones is believing that they’re working on the most important thing in the world. Conviction is intoxicating.
The fundamental trait among the people I get along best with is an obsession with doing things well. It can be anything. It’s the pursuit of excellence that matters. The daily grind. The madness of relentless improvement. Love those wackos.
