Having Lupus or any chronic illness means having days where you literally just want to throw yourself on the ground and have a massive tantrum because you are just so sick and tired of being sick and tired, of being poked and prodded, of not having any control.
i would just like to know on what planet doctors and psychiatrists are doing physical examinations and blood tests to rule out things like Grave’s before diagnosing someone with anxiety. what doctors are you lot going to where this happens

@thosegrose To this day I have a memory of an adult telling (10 year old) me "You're very rude, did you know that?" And refusing to elaborate when I asked what I did wrong 😭
especially as a child.. did not teach me anything. just gave me an overwhelming sense of dread that when i am myself i will be abused for it
being autistic is just existing and then getting punished repeatedly for doing it wrong w no clear explanation as to what exactly you’re doing wrong

while traumatized, being subsequently pathologized for "inability" &/or "unwillingness" to feel / be safe in literally *unsafe spaces with unsafe ppl* feels re-traumatizing
I feel untethered. There's so much shit happening all at once and I'm getting HEAVY 2020 vibes and I do not like it.
mental health professionals working with autistic ppl should be trauma-informed, b/c so many autistic ppl are also traumatized. as one autistic person, I recently disclosed my trauma to a once-trusted MH provider who responded in harmful ways which caused me to be retraumatized.
Does anyone feel like they’ve made a mistake 24/7 but have no idea what the mistake is so it’s just this nagging anxiety that you’ve done something wrong somewhere that needs to be fixed but ahhhhh what is it??? Just me?

If anyone ever asks how ADHD can have a serious/debilitating impact on your life, know that I've spent today chasing payment for events I did in the past year because my ADHD brain failed to send the invoices and then promptly forgot that I was owed any money at all.

I, as a disabled therapist, am reminding you that you don't have a mental illness for taking COVID precautions. There's no such thing as "COVID anxiety." This is a BSL 3 pathogen that spreads through the air. It can cause severe damage to your body. It's normal to not want this.
So now some of the staff at my mom’s LTC facility are giving her trouble and attitude because I had the gall and audacity to request they mask around her, a vulnerable person in her 90s who has already been infected in the place at least twice before. I am at the end of my rope.
I feel so empty and hopeless, this morning. I'm going to spend as much time as possible outside, today, because the only thing lately that works to regulate my brain is nature. I'll probably be back in a few hours with beautiful photos to share. I know y'all are struggling too.
I hate these systems to the very core of my being. We treat people as expendable. We have no village to raise kids. I got, "Here's a <5lb baby, trauma, and debt. Good luck." And postpartum mood issues are not over in 8 weeks! It can last months, years. It's fucking rough!
I'm trying very hard to keep it together, but my partner is not doing well (mentally, physically) and they're the sole breadwinner because I'm at home with the toddler. Not dying, but they're struggling and so am I. We're drowning and there's no help. 💔
