@USBornNRaised @RandPaulReview If that was the case, then "maybe". But it's not - the tariffs are based on trade deficits, not import duties. The US makes things for itself, the rest of the world don't factor in say, design or quality - so the rest of the world doesn't by US Cars/food etc.

@GQnft @RandPaulReview @SenRandPaul Make/grow stuff other people want? - The reciprocal tariff "formula" is based solely on *goods* trade deficit the US runs with a country - not import duties. You build cars/make food etc for yourselves, not for global markets. And it ignores the massive services surpluses.

All a matter of public record . judiciary.uk/wp-content/upl… For his contempt charge (again self represented) he offered no evidence and pleaded guilty.

@afneil The projected revenue is ~1.6Bn PA. The 5Bn is a total cost to 2029/30. So cash positive then, with investment in public education as a gain for us all. That's a win.

@adeburton @Bikery1966 Unless they are charged with "driving without due care and attention" , and evidence of such is presented (burden of proof on the prosecution), that kind of a posteriori inference is moot.
