@Omri_Marian Correct. However, if a 1099K is issued it will have to be dealt with on the tax return causing preparer's more work and more costly to the taxpayer. Hope it doesn't happen but possible many 1099K's will be issued for payments that should not be reported.

@Jason Paid mine off 25 years ago. One son just finished college another one a junior now. Both decided to go to a lower cost University to be responsible. Guess they made a bad decision since the additional cost would have been paid by other people. Would have advised differently.
