The notion that everyone gets the same 24 hours in a day to be “productive” overlooks the fact that chronic illness can drastically affect how those hours are utilized. Those with chronic illness have to manage symptoms, doctor appointments, and treatments. These can consume significant time and energy, leaving less room for productivity and more time needed for rest. One task may leave someone bed bound for a few hours. It’s important not to place unrealistic standards of getting things done on someone with chronic illness.

People don't just "see the light" and all their bigotry just vanishes when they realize it exists. People dismantle toxic ideas a bit at a time, and must rebuild a different framework for understanding the world piece by piece. This can take days or decades.

We're on the precipice of very serious Measles outbreaks in Canada, now that vaccination rates have stupidly dropped. Improved ventilation in schools ---that we SHOULD HAVE IMPLEMENTED in 2020-- would really help to prevent that now.
