People on the right realized a long time ago that a good story will always be more convincing than facts. The left is still trying to catch up.
People on the left have most of the facts on their side but still manage to lose because they can’t tell enough emotionally compelling simple stories.
A good story doesn’t need to be a lie. A compelling story can (and should be) true. But it’s not enough to be right all the time. You won’t move people to action by having the most correct statistic. You need to know how to package the truth in a way that drives people forward.
@iamharaldur Wrong take. The left has a woke problem.
@iamharaldur To package a truth into a story which serves a narrative will never be a true truth.
@iamharaldur The left loses because left arguments require nuance. Right arguments are simple, catchy slogans. Drill baby drill!
@iamharaldur I would love to read it hear a review from you on A righteous mind by Jonathan haidt.
@iamharaldur "The Left" thinks a stale ass TED talk is going to beat the Right's pro-wrestling-esque spectacle.
@iamharaldur Um. The left has incredible stories. All the time. Talk w/unions. Greatest increase in employment. Greatest reduction in poverty. And more. Which the press refuses to publish or make headlines. While there is a huge machine pushing fake news. Unfair comparison.

@iamharaldur A good story or rather a simple story with some blaming the others?
