Pandora went on: "You are more despicable than Zeus, he is haughty and cruel, but he has never pretended otherwise. I trusted you, I listened to you, you taught me to see the good in the world. Why have you not helped me in all your wisdom and providence? I needed you."
Pandora screamed at Prometheus: "You knew, you've known all along. You knew and did nothing."
Have you ever met someone & in no time at all, felt like you were old friends?
No one escapes the laws of action and reaction, not even the Olympic gods. You never stood a chance.
Prometheus went on. The only reason for your existence lies in Zeus' vengeance on me and mankind for obtaining fire. Everything about you has been created for this purpose. In a way, I am just as responsible for evoking Zeus' wrath as you are by opening the jar.
Prometheus looked down on Pandora with compassion. "Pandora, the day you were kept out of clay by Hephaistos on behalf of Zeus was only for this day. Although it was unknown when, the fulfillment of your destiny was established from the day of your creation".
Huddled and with clenched fists in her lap Pandora said: "It's not fair, I never wanted this to happen, it's not fair, I can't wear this alone, I curse the day I was made".

Epimetheus wondered if they should beg the gods for help to fight this uncertain evil. Prometheus spoke; "the gods already know what happened and will not disturb what they have sown themselves, is it not Pandora?"
Pandora did not remember how she came home. There she found Epimetheus and Prometheus. Pandora was silent and felt Prometheus' gaze resting on her. Epimetheus did not seem to notice her silence or Prometheus' expression.

At Mount Olympus she had also been alone, she lived among the gods but wasn’t one of them. She was tolerated. Among the people Pandora had found her home, she thought. But everything is different now. The sentence ‘it's all my fault’ echoes through her head.
After the initial shock, Pandora ran out with the jar under her arm in a desperate attempt to catch the shadows. But the shadows were gone. Out of the jar and beyond Pandora's control. Fear, violence, deception, envy and diseases spread.
