Some people paying for claude on that level really can make the ends justify the means tbh.. I had to spend thousands upon thousads of dollars for gpus over the psat few years, but they all ended up paying for themselves in short order. I'm sure a lot of people who really use claude for the right reasons are making plenty of ROI. But yes, I'm sure the MAJORITY are exactly what you said tbh.

That's where i'll diverge .. maybe someday comma will someday be great, but at this point it's not even as good as standard autopilot from ten years ago (except that it stops at stop signs and lights, i think...) EAP on tesla does this as well, and that *SHOULD* be a standard AP feature. Outside of that, comma isn't even as good as standard AP and FSD is just light-years ahead of anywhere near where comma could dream of being right now. I genuinely hope comma does succeed, i've been paying attention to all the branches and stuff as time allows.. I'd probably grab one if i had a vehicle with no ADAS that supported it well, but comparing it to fsd ... I'll take the 100 a month for fsd over owning a comma any day of the week (right now)

Exactly.. The only benefit possibly would be that FSD would have control of the car so it wouldn't get driven like a mix between a Nascar and offroad vehicle... but the interior isn't going to hold up. Granted, tesla interior parts aren't very expensive for oem parts (because they are genuinely cheap + vertically integrated) Still -- I find it hard for anyone other than tesla themselves to actually "make money" with any kind of fleet of automated cabs. Why would they want to give everyone a cut if they can just take it all for themselves? Which option maximizes profit for the shareholders? Tesla getting the most money possible does, and that is their legal responsibility... but I suppose in markets where they don't have a flood of cybercabs (like rural areas) they might have an incentive to allow owners to pimp out their vehicles. IMO that's what it will probably be. all metro areas are going to be absolutely saturated with tesla owned vehicles, they will move between cities using AI to allocate cars to cities by knowing all the different demand draws. Think they didn't get a ton of data about cab demand when they had the partnership with hertz? I guess i could potentially see t hem allowing cars out That said, I don't think AI4 cars are going to make the cut either, I genuinely think AI5 is what is going to be needed especially for tesla to take on the liability. HW4 will probably be great for unsupervised self-driving for the owner of the car who maintains it and keeps the cameras clean... eventually.... maybe even soon, but there are too many weaknesses for it to be the fully autonomous fleet car that elon has tried to paint.

Yes, because Tesla's don't have suspension components or anything else. Just washer fluid, right? Let me go out and check my car to make sure there are no tires to replace, no bushings that will go bad, let me look at my invoices from the service center for when the HW3 comptuer failed from a firmware update and had to be replaced, or when a seat failed, or when a mirror failed. I'm sure the headlights and tail lights will last 2 million miles as well. I mean, I'm sure the interior will look immaculate after 200k miles and it will just be a money making machine that allows me to never have a job again if i just buy 2 or 3 more teslas than i already have.

Yep, i've already had one hw3 computer eat dirt and tesla service center told me nothing was wrong twice, went to a different SC, they said a firmware update caused the HW3 comptuer to fail, but they couldn't fix it at the time.. then it was finally replaced udner warranty (so i still have a legal lemon claim in my state) Now after this update my car has a weird phantom drain going on and communcation isues .. I'm going to lemon law the car if this is the issue again. Just can't trust it especilly knowing that after the warranty is gone, this is going to be a $3000+ "fix" (and the fact that the're just dragging feet on hw3 cars makes me even more willing to part ways)

@MARKHERENOW I have a 2023 model 3 already had one firmware update nuke the computer Now with 2026.8 (i think that's what we're on?) I'm getting hte same symptoms as i had when the last computer went out.. phantom drains, communication issues with the car... etc etc etc
