Gardai interrogated me in the sweet shop! Where was I from? how long was I staying in Ireland - me aged 60+ Please don't tell me Irish Police do not racially profile! I was racially profiled and interviewed in a Rathmines sweet shop!. I am 60+ it is happpening to our youth

#georgenehenko I recal 3 years ago I was racially profiled by the Irish Police buying Irish chocolate! the Gardai was at least 100 metres away and took a special trip to investigate me.

At a webinar listening to @OfficeOmbudsman discuss the findings of their report on young people in nursing homes. One of the findings is that funding is biased in favour of institutional care. People don't know how to access other funding streams and there is no consistency

In his presentation on young people in nursing homes, @OfficeOmbudsman highlights a disjointed funding model, and a bias in favour of residential care. A ring-fenced funding allocation, and annual reports on targets needed to address this, so that this issue doesn't drift again.
