As a post transition person, I can assure people I no longer feel any distress about my gender. I’m happier, calmer, more confident and present. I’m convinced that transition has freed me to become the person I was meant to be. Not perfect, but a better person.
One of the newest linguistic games anti-trans people have started is using "gender distress" to describe all trans people, including happily transitioned people who feel no such distress.
