@itsMatthewCook It’s actually doable. Your wife is a hustler, runs in the family, she got it. Life is always hard. you think you got it together, stuff happens. I am almost 40, was trying to do school when life had other horrible plans for us. But you get up and you fight, it’s what you do.

@itsMatthewCook do. You have a house to rent, not a stuffy apartment, you have a relationship, you have relatively healthy kids. The crappy news is that if you really want those other things, in your situation, it’s going to take a lot of hustle. Side jobs or education. It will be hard but

@echoey13 @mattbc Yes, doc check up every three months and annual or biannual drug tests to ensure you are taking it. My entire adult life. This isn’t new.

@laurenthehough I have had to go the doctor every three months to get my adderall for the last 20 years or so. I even take a drug test once a year so they know I am taking my meds. Is it a pain, of course, but it’s something I need, so I do it.

@morelikespc @drmistercody @MatthewCallaway My grandma was born in 1923, she’s greatest and she was 18, decided to become a marine. Oldest Silent Gen would have been about 13. People born in mid 40’s wouldn’t remember much. Maybe Korean War?

@itsMatthewCook That’s the harsh truth of it. Nothing is hopeless, but you are the one who has to provide the hope. Gotta find those little ways to get out of your head, so you can get out of your own way. I have been there, it’s doable, and it’s also difficult.
