@TaylorLorenz Also when DeShawnRaw deleted his YT channel. First creator that I recall having mental health channels that derailed his career. Went from having an HBO pilot with Chris Rick producing to deleting his channel in days. Showed challenges of getting famous too quickly.

One angle I haven't seen explored when discussing these deals AT ALL is creator burnout, it is hard enough to keep up with platform and fan expectations, imagine adding a VC/PE firm P&L to that for the next 30 years!

This is a pretty massive opportunity for creators, and will be extremely interesting to see if other platforms (especially YouTube) do something similar. My guess is they will not because this feature allows creators an offplatform way to reach their audience.

We’re launching the ability for creators to download the email addresses of their subscribers starting in December, so they can maintain a relationship off of Facebook.

@ianrborthwick Ownership, who owns the integration. Especially traditional media companies want to own the content, even beyond the ad portion, whick makes the creator syndication and monetization problematic.
